As an archaeologist who often traverses the globe, I recently found myself at Esjays At Knowles House Bed & Breakfast for a gourmet getaway. Upon arrival, Sarah graciously welcomed us, immediately setting the tone for our stay. The accommodation, exceptionally clean and meticulous, featured two beautifully appointed bedrooms and an impressively spacious bathroom with separate washbasins. I particularly appreciated the small, thoughtful touches, such as the stocked jars of tea and various cereals, alongside a lovely selection of biscuits that were replenished daily. After a delightful evening enjoying a nearby wedding reception, I was eager to explore the local dining scene. Greens Bistro, just a short walk away, offered a charming ambiance that catered to diverse tastes. Alice's Tearoom provided a quaint setting perfect for an afternoon respite, complete with a selection of delightful pastries. As someone who appreciates culinary innovation, the legendary breakfasts at Esjays did not disappoint. Although breakfast was not included, I savored an array of sumptuous options that were conveniently accessible, ensuring a satisfying start to each day. With pristine lodgings and a welcoming atmosphere, this gem is a wonderful destination for fellow food enthusiasts seeking a serene escape.
